Why yoga?
Yoga gives us an opportunity to step out of the stresses, strains,
excitements and dramas of our lives and align ourselves with
a simpler, more gentle way of being.
Patanjali, the first to give a written definition of yoga around 200BC wrote: ‘Yogash citta vritti nirodhah’ - Yoga is the cessation of the fluctuations of the mind.
At it’s most basic level yoga is about balance; living your life fully
while feeling complete within yourself. It gives us an anchor
amidst the turbulence of modern day living.
Anyone can practise yoga and I welcome you to come
and explore for yourself.
